I have to respect those families which, even though the parents are divorced, the mother and father can successfully care for their children separately. Child support has been made lawful because it allows both parents to care for their children. However, there will be those deadbeat parents who will refuse to do what they're obligated to and that is to care for those young lives they produced. What's even more startling is how we, as taxpayers, have incurred the brunt of this.
As told by CNN Money, more than $100 billion is owed in unpaid child support. Words can't describe just how staggering this amount truly is but even more stunning than that is if public assistance is utilized, payments have to be given in the way of reimbursement. In turn, the government must give $53 billion, or about 49% of the previous value. Where do you think that money comes from? Taxpayers like you and me, of course.
It seems like an easy fix, doesn't it? Just focus on the deadbeats, have them pay up, and don't let up until they do. Well, things aren't quite so easy and one can't simply approach these people as if they were heroes out of a movie. Companies such as Rapid Recovery work to procure debts in a professional way and they have to respect both the client and debtor they work with. Those who work in collecting child support debt are aware that these people have to be confronted but not at the expense of safety felt.
It should not be a challenge when it comes to addressing the debtor with the problem at hand. Collectors need to be well-aware of what is happening and being able to secure debts is all part of the job. A collector has to be knowledgeable as well as moral on an issue, such as knowing the right ways to contact a debtor and the threats they're not allowed to make, to name a few examples. The industry is full of reputable companies but even these very entities haven't been able to do much about the massive amount of child support debt in the world.

Divorces can be especially difficult since now there's only form of income for a family as opposed to the two beforehand. However, I cannot stand for parents who simply lounge around while ignoring the lives of those they are responsible for.
